Well pretty much a who’s who of great British bands: Guaranteed Rental Scheme Coldplay - The predecessors to Coldplay were Pectoralz and Starfish and started by Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland and Guy Gerryman after they all met at University College London. Pink Floyd - Pink Floyd began when Roger Waters and Nick Mason met while studying architecture at the London Polytechnic. Queen - Queen guitarist Brian May met Tim Staffell while both were students at Imperial College in London in the early '70s. With the addition of Ealing Art College student Farrokh Bulsara, (Freddie Mercury) , Smile was established (later Queen) Snow Patrol - University of Dundee students Gary Lightbody, Michael Morrison and Mark McClelland started Shrug, later Polarbear and eventually Snow Patrol whilst they were studying in 1994. So when you start Uni and move into your halls, those four walls might be more inspiring that you think and you could be the next BRIT winners.
